I have long and often lamented the poor showing of Christians doing quality work in the secular world. Often, it seems that instead of doing quality thought provoking or intriguing work for everyone (Christian and secular) when Christians do attempt art they try and create or do it within a Christian subculture where its effectivness and seeming quality are nil.
Compass Cinema has recently produced a series of short films called Modern Parables. I am not sure if the company is a Christian organization since they don't advertise themselves that way on their website, though I would tend to think that they are. I think however, that this is the kind of companies that Christians need to involve themselves with. You can get free low resolution, personal use only, videos of their parables series at the website. Here are some of the trailers for them. I will start posting them up here in the order I get time to watch the videos themselves. So far I have found the videos engaging, done with quality and effective at communicating the various parables. It seems to be an excellent resource.

Sorry for the redundancy, but these are really interesting.
Thanks for pointing them out.
Good for people to know.
